Are you a seasoned industrial electrical technician eager to face new challenges? As a Senior Automation Systems Technician, you’ll collaborate closely with our Integration Engineers to address PLC troubleshooting and commissioning tasks at prime locations such as Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, GA. Make sure you live a commutable distance from the airport and are ready to excel in an ever-changing and high-demand setting.

NEED-TO-KNOW INFORMATION:

  • This is an hourly wage, non-exempt role.
  • You will report directly to the Sr. Program Manager.
  • Travel expectations range from 40% - 85%, primarily domestic, with potential future international assignments.
  • Close collaboration with the Manager of Controls Engineering and fellow field technicians is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a TSA background check and pre-employment, customer requested, or random drug screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

You will need the physical capability to climb ladders, maneuver through confined spaces, operate in low-light conditions, and adapt to fluctuating temperatures. Physical stamina and adaptability are essential.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIREMENTS):

  • Exceptional skills in diagnosing issues and managing electrical control systems, especially with PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Ignition software is favorable in the selection process.
  • Capable of enhancing control systems for peak efficiency and swiftly addressing control component issues.
  • Experience with reading electrical diagrams and crafting electrical designs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and control devices and their uses.
  • Thorough grasp of safety protocols and proper PPE usage.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing devices (like multi-meters).
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and other fundamental computer programs.

  • Working seamlessly with Integration Engineers and ensuring effective communication with project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Engaging in a wide array of assignments from foundational programming to intricate troubleshooting, while significantly enhancing your technical expertise, especially in PLC programming and airport automation processes.
