WHO WE ARE:

Rova Products Canada Inc. (“Rova”) is seeking a high energy team-oriented Microsoft Teams Video Conferencing Technician. Rova is a telecommunications distributor and professional services firm with a wide variety of customers across the industry. We are a Microsoft Teams-focused video company, and we are looking for a candidate with an interest to become the technical leader of our video conferencing services division.
The successful candidate would be joining our emerging UC group to help develop and implement our video-meeting rooms initiative.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible and accountable for leading, directing, and overseeing a team of technicians responsible for the installation of hardware components of audio-visual systems ensuring all programmatic and operating systems meet established targets.
You would be accountable for independently coordinating installation teams responsible for the process of receiving, inventorying, assembling, and installing AV equipment on job site locations.
This position requires a variety of duties including construction labor as well as installation, troubleshooting, and repair of AV equipment.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Electronics Engineering Technology or a skilled trade in Electronic Service Technician, Information Technology (IT), or equivalent experience.
  • CTS certification would be considered an asset.
  • Audio, video conferencing or control equipment manufacturer certifications would be considered assets.
  • Hold a driver’s license in order to be able to travel to different client`s locations (Vehicle provided for travel needs).
  • Knowledgeable in computer and communication programs.
Responsibilities
  • The Video Conferencing Engineer is primarily responsible for room and project design, project management, and implementation of all new video conferencing rooms.
  • The main tasks would include: client collaboration, design, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • The expectation is that the candidate will be proficient at the network-level with Poly, Jabra, Logitech, and similar equipment.
  • The job would include: customer facing responsibilities where the candidate would demonstrate creative thinking, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to video-conferencing configurations and rooms, connectivity, and AV equipment
  • As our in-house technical expert, you will be expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of best practices and advances in emerging technologies within video solutions, closely matching technology solutions to the business needs of the firm.
