Job Description As a Staff/Senior Fly by Wire Engineer, you will be: Responsible for design, development, testing, and integration hardware and software components into our CycloRotor products. Responsible for guiding the team in applying the DO178, DO254, and ARP4754/61 standards and methods towards certifiable products (hardware and software). Following the best practices and guidelines for continuous improvement. Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders, such as aerodynamics, structures, simulation, systems engineering, certification, testing, and customers. Providing technical guidance and feedback to your team members and other engineers. Reporting to the Head of Engineering and participating in regular meetings and reviews. Preparing and presenting technical reports and documentation for internal and external purposes . Qualifications What you should bring: Master’s degree / PhD in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, embedded systems engineering, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing HW and SW systems for electric aircraft or similar safety critical applications. at least 3 years of experience in an aerospace design organization (DO), CVE experience is a plus. Thorough understanding of the principles and technologies of embedded systems, electrical motors anf fight control laws in the aerospace environment. Proven track record in leading complex engineering projects from concept to completion. proven project completion with hands-on application of DO178 and/or ARP4754/61. familiarity with DO254 and DO160 are a plus. familiarity with CS-E or Part 33 are a plus. Pragmatic approach allowing to bridge the gap between prototyping and certification. track record of implementing automation across V&V activities is a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in English language, German is a plus.
