Job Title: Senior Azure Cloud Engineer
Area: Technology Services - Infrastructure Engineering
Reports to: Manager - Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
Classification: Exempt
Location: Remote
This position is designated as Fully Remote and is not expected to work from our World Headquarters (unless occasionally necessary for meetings/trainings, etc.). All employees classified as fully remote may work from any of the states where Rotary currently has employees, which includes: IL, CA, IN, OR, LA, NC, MN, WI, TN, TX, MI, GA, VA, MA, RI, AZ and WA (these are states where Rotary is currently registered as an employer).

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position supports the Rotary Technology Services Infrastructure Engineering team, primarily responsible for performing the daily duties of Azure cloud design, new product and ensuring the health our all-cloud environments. Role will work with the team in administering a hybrid cloud datacenter environment including on-premises storage an compute resources.
The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer will join a dedicated discipline team of diverse staff at Rotary International. The Cloud Architect will work with other IT staff, assorted project delivery staff, and a team in our India and US offices.

Responsibilities
  • Create functional design specifications, Azure reference architectures, and assist with other project deliverables as needed.
  • Deploying, configuring, integrating and managing private and public cloud platforms (MS Azure cloud platforms)
  • Work with Solution Architect and Project management to design, develop and implement infrastructure components, server topology, capacity planning, information security and server hardening
  • Performing the daily duties of Azure deployments, configuration tuning, troubleshooting, scripting, cost analysis and maintenance
  • Able to troubleshoot routing and firewall issues (NSGs, UDRs, LBs, AppGW, etc.)
  • Ability to mentor Architects and engineering staff.
  • Varying degrees of responsibility for work processes, optimization methods and risk management in large and complex projects within Rotary International
  • Conduct network performance monitoring to ensure that SLAs and other quality metrics are being met
  • Interacting with vendors and their support teams in critical cloud problem situations. Work with cross project teams to resolve technical performance issues/bottlenecks (e.g., network, storage, database, application).
  • Keeping up to date with new technology and certifications via training and seminars
  • Ensuring the quality and consistency of operating systems by following a defined set of procedures (change control, security procedures, user passwords, backups, hardware configuration.)
