EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of proven experience in delivering infrastructure solutions on Azure cloud.
• 5+ years of hands-on with infrastructure design and deployment utilizing PaaS, SaaS and IaaS cloud offerings.
• 5+ years working with Azure ARM templates and Azure Biceps
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying containerized runtime environments based on Azure Kubernetes Services
• Provent experience with scripting languages like: PowerShell, Python, JavaScript

QUALIFICATIONS:

• AZ-104 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) - required
• AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions)* – required*
• CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) - required
• Solid expertise using code repositories like GIT is a must.
• Experience delivering deployment solutions using GitOps approach is a big plus
• Strong analytic, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Flexible and able to adapt to operational requirements and priority changes.
• Self-motivated, team player, tasks coordination, action Adapt to changes in technology and results oriented.
• Well organized, good communication and reporting skills

ROLE OVERVIEW

Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer will play a key part in designing, implementing, and optimizing company’s Azure cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cloud technologies, hands-on experience with implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) approach with leveraging tools such as Azure ARM templates and Azure Bicep and Kubernetes to automate and deliver Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions based on industry best practices and current trends. You will be responsible to provision and manage of cloud infrastructure on Azure public cloud to support organizational needs. You will work closely with IT and Software development teams to ensure the delivery of best of breed solutions that meet or exceed RTO/RPO requirements.
The selected candidate should have extensive experience in Azure as well as design of containerized solutions based on Azure Kubernetes Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build and deliver Azure native cloud solutions to support organizational migration to the cloud.
• Configure and implement monitoring functionalities to provide best visibility and transparency to level 1 support teams.
• Train junior members of the team to deliver best of breed solutions on top of Azure public cloud.
• Design and manage upgrade and migration life cycles for all systems that are hosted in Azure cloud.
• Participate in production incidents resolution task force to minimize downtime.
• Be part of network and security design for all infrastructure and applications hosted in Azure.
• Provide support to software development and RnD teams to evaluate, implement and monitor technology solutions.
• Continuously promote better ways to deliver Infrastructure solutions on Azure cloud.
• Propose adoption of new approaches, patterns, techniques, and ideas recommended by industry standards and industry trends.
• Work closely with IT, Software development and RnD teams to understand pain points of current solutions and identify better approaches to hosting company’s solutions on the cloud.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES CANDIDATES TO HAVE THEIR CORE WORKING HOURS ALIGNED WITH BUSINESS OPERATIONS IN EITHER EUROPE OR NORTH AMERICA, DEPENDING ON ASSIGNMENT. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITHIN THESE TIME ZONES TO SUPPORT REGIONAL OFFICES, ENSURE EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION, AND PROVIDE TIMELY OPERATIONAL SUPPORT. FLEXIBILITY MAY BE REQUIRED FOR OCCASIONAL MEETINGS OR CRITICAL INCIDENTS OUTSIDE OF CORE HOURS.
