You will be part of an agile development team and work hands-on with business-critical, transactional and data-intensive systems. There are large amounts of data, calculations, batches and transactions in an environment where correctness, quality and long-term manageability play a major role.

You will both solve concrete technical problems and help shape how systems will develop over time. This means understanding existing architecture and previous path choices, but also daring to challenge them when there are better ways forward.

The customer has high technical ambitions and is curious about new technology, including AI and modern development tools. At the same time, technology is a tool rather than an end in itself. The important thing is to be able to determine when a new technology actually creates value and when a simpler or more proven solution is better.

Who are we looking for?

We believe that you:

• Have solid experience in backend development and complex systems, preferably transactional and/or data-intensive.
• Has a clear technical depth and wants to understand why things work – not just that they work.
• Has very good technical judgment and can weigh quality, complexity, risk, business value and long-term manageability against each other.
• Is hands-on and enjoys both writing code and discussing architecture and technical direction.
• Takes great responsibility and drives problems all the way from questioning to a working solution in production.
• Are non-prestige and enjoy sharing knowledge, challenging ideas and making the developers around you better.
• Is curious about AI and new development tools, but has a pragmatic and sober approach to when and how they should be used.

Experience from fintech, insurance or other transaction-intensive businesses is an advantage, but not a requirement. We place more emphasis on your technical depth and judgment than on exactly which technologies or domains you have previously worked with.
