Tasks

• You develop and operate service-oriented Java backends based on Spring Boot in a Kubernetes environment.
• You design, document, and version high-performance REST APIs — API stability is the foundation for our growing integration ecosystem.
• You drive the further development of existing integrations (including beA, Microsoft 365, Webhooks) and help design new modules.
• You will be responsible for data modeling, query optimization, and migrations to SQL databases under real-world load conditions.
• You bear operational responsibility in the sense of "you build it, you run it": knowing observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and load limits before customers find them.
• You actively contribute to ISO 27001 compliance through auditability, traceable data flows, and clean access control.

Our stack

• Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security
• APIs: REST; prospectively asynchronous processing patterns for specific integration paths
• Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitLab CI / GitHub Actions)
• Integrations: Microsoft Graph API, beA/KSW adapter, webhooks, N8N
• Quality: SCA tools, automated tests (unit + integration), quality gates in the pipeline

qualification

• You have at least 5 years of experience in professional software development, including at least 3 years with Java and Spring Boot in production systems.
• You have experience operating productive systems with high quality and safety requirements.
• You have a solid understanding of REST API design, service-oriented architecture, and relational data modeling under real-world load conditions.
• You have practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes — deployment, scaling, operation.
• You actively and thoughtfully use coding agents (e.g., Claude Code): You utilize AI speed productively while ensuring that generated code remains reviewable, testable, and maintainable.
• You think in a structured and analytical way, take ownership of what you build - including its operation - and communicate clearly within the team.
• Experience in regulatory-sensitive domains (Legal Tech, data protection, auditability, multi-tenancy), ISO 27001 from a developer perspective, and knowledge of asynchronous processing patterns are a plus.
• Your excellent German skills enable smooth communication within the team and with stakeholders, allowing us to effectively share ideas and achieve goals together.
