As a Senior .Net Backend Developer, you'll design, implement, and maintain high-performance APIs and services that form the backbone of our marketing process applications. You'll collaborate closely with the Lead Software Application Architect and front-end teams to create seamless integrations between our CMS-based Activation Briefing application for CRM and paid media automation tools. More specifically, you will: • Develop and maintain scalable backend services using .Net 9 focusing on performance, security, and reliability • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices that support the content briefing workflows from clients through various automation and quality assurance tools • Collaborate with the Lead Software Application Architect to implement the technical vision and architectural patterns across backend systems • Integrate with various marketing activation platforms, Digital Asset Management systems, and third-party APIs • Optimize database design and queries for SQL Server and Cosmos DB to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval • Implement robust authentication, authorization, and data security measures to protect client information • Create and maintain containerized applications running in Azure, utilizing Azure App Services, Functions, and other cloud-native services • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and quick issue resolution • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, QA engineers, and product managers Who are you going to work with? You'll join our Experience Studio team of talented individuals based in Copenhagen and Madrid. Working directly with the Software Application Architect and Front-end Developers, you'll be part of a dynamic group that creates innovative marketing technology solutions. Our diverse working environment fosters collaboration and growth, where each team member's contributions are valued. What do you bring to the table? You are a problem-solver with a passion for creating efficient, maintainable backend systems. You communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and thrive in collaborative environments. More specifically, you have: • Proven experience (7+ years) developing applications with .NET Core/Framework, with at least 3 years of experience with .NET 6 or newer • Strong expertise in C#, REST API design, and microservices architecture. • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment in Azure and Google Cloud. • Proficiency with SQL Server, Entity Framework, and document databases like Cosmos DB or similar • Experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth/OpenID Connect • Solid experience of working with software design patterns and SOLID principles • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Ideally you also have: • Knowledge of messaging systems and background processing (Azure Service Bus, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ) • Experience with Python 3.X and or Node.js 2x is beneficial but not strictly required. • Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and performance) • Familiarity with agile development methodologies • Experience integrating with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms. • Knowledge of GraphQL - beneficial but not required A leader in personalized customer experiences VML MAP is a world-leading Centre of Excellence that helps businesses humanize the relationship between the brand and the customer through hyper personalization at scale, marketing automation and CRM.
