An exciting opportunity for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a growing financial services company as they build a brand-new platform. This role offers the chance to shape architecture, influence technical direction, and make a lasting impact from the earliest stages of development.

Working alongside senior engineers and key stakeholders, you will design and develop the backend systems that power the platform. Operating within a modern AWS environment, you'll focus on scalable services, API-driven architectures, and data-intensive applications.

This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, contributing to architectural decisions, and taking ownership of critical backend systems. As the team expands, there is a clear pathway into a future Backend Team Lead role.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
• Build and manage data workflows using Airflow
• Develop, deploy, and scale cloud-native applications on AWS
• Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making across the platform
• Support CI/CD initiatives and engineering best practices

• Requirements7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus
• Deep hands-on experience with Python
• Proven experience building and operating production systems on AWS
• Strong understanding of scalable backend architectures and API design
