This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer - Integrations in EMEA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs that power an advanced identity and access management platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and security experts to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure solutions. Your work will involve identity lifecycle management, access intelligence, and regulatory-compliant auditing and monitoring. The position requires expertise in cloud platforms, microservices, and modern programming languages such as Golang or Java. This is a fully remote position within the EMEA region, offering exposure to complex systems and a dynamic, high-impact work environment. Accountabilities: • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for the IAM platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features that meet business and security objectives. • Develop and maintain access intelligence features that extract actionable insights from customer environments. • Implement identity lifecycle management functionality, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control policies. • Build logging, monitoring, and auditing capabilities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. • Continuously optimize platform performance, security, and scalability through code reviews, testing, and refactoring. • Stay updated with IAM industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging them to innovate and enhance the platform. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 4+ years of experience in backend software development, ideally in identity and access management, security, or related areas. • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Golang or Java. • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. • Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, standards, and best practices. • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and familiarity with IAM services. • Nice-to-have: experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and distributed systems. • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in fast-paced environments. • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Competitive compensation package, with consideration for experience, location, and performance. • Equity and performance-based bonus opportunities. • Fully remote work environment within EMEA, with flexibility to balance personal and professional commitments. • Professional growth and learning opportunities to stay current in identity and access management technologies. • Annual leave, parental leave, and employee assistance programs. • Exposure to cutting-edge IAM systems and collaboration with high-impact, cross-functional teams.
