Your Role as a Zenika Consultant: As a consultant, you’ll be embedded within client teams to solve real-world engineering challenges. You’ll bring both technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset to help design and build modern back-end platforms. Design and develop Spring Boot–based applications and RESTful APIs used in production environments Build scalable, secure microservices with a strong focus on maintainability and performance Translate functional requirements into clean, well-structured code and technical solutions Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and understand when different data models make sense Contribute to system design discussions, applying sound architectural and design patterns Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end engineers, product managers, and DevOps Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices Participate in CI/CD workflows and containerized deployments using tools like Docker and Kubernetes Help clients modernize their platforms and adopt cloud-native development approaches What you Bring 5+ years experience in Java development, with hands-on expertise in Spring Boot Solid understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems Experience working with SQL databases and data modelling Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows Exposure to containerization, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices A pragmatic mindset — you balance technical excellence with delivering real business value Confidence working directly with stakeholders in a consulting or project-based environment About Zenika Founded by developer Carl Azoury, Zenika is a consultancy built around community, transparency, and craftsmanship.
