Senior Backend Engineer (w/m/d) Java & Cloud

Join the CI Crowd as a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) Java & Cloud! You will plan the digitalization of our clients' business processes and implement them together in a cross-functional team, preferably using Java, Spring, container and cloud services. Furthermore, you will design modern microservice solutions and continuously develop existing applications.

These will be your tasks

• You will work in an agile team with CI colleagues and/or the client's employees on their business-critical software solutions.
• You develop applications and microservices in cloud and container platforms and support them from conception to productive operation.
• You will work closely with platform, DevOps, and architecture teams, and provide support with technical questions related to deployments, containers, and cloud platforms.
• You actively contribute suggestions for improving quality and performance, modernize existing applications, and develop future-proof target architectures together with the team.
• You represent Cologne Intelligence in our clients' consulting and implementation projects and have a good sense for getting new projects off the ground.

• Excellent practical experience with Java, Spring Boot, and modern backend architectures
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker, as well as experience in at least one cloud environment such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• You use AI-supported software development and are committed to continuously learning about modern approaches such as agent-based development or spec-driven development.
• These topics are familiar to you: TDD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, Clean Code, Code Reviews, Pair Programming, agile principles and methods
• You have a basic understanding of authentication, SSO, and modern security concepts.
• You actively use your free time and enjoy independent learning. You also share your knowledge and enrich us with your experience.
