You’ll join our corporate and commercial legal team, advising financial institutions, corporates and investors on corporate transactions, lending arrangements, finance, and regulatory matters. Working alongside colleagues from across PwC’s network, you’ll help clients structure, negotiate and execute transactions that enable growth and innovation. Your day-to-day could include: Advising clients on banking and finance and/or corporate transactions, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating full transaction suites. Conducting legal research and preparing clear, commercially focused advice. Managing legal documentation, transaction execution and client communications. Collaborating with colleagues across PwC to deliver integrated, one-firm solutions. Supporting business development and mentoring junior team members. Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience You’ll bring strong technical capability, sound judgment and a commercial mindset - as well as a willingness to collaborate and grow. Bachelor of Laws (LLB or LLB (Hons)) and a current practicing certificate (or be eligible to practice in New Zealand or another common law jurisdiction). 6+ years’ PQE in banking and finance law, gained in private practice and/or a high-quality in-house environment. Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail. Sound knowledge of key financial services and banking legislation, and confidence providing clear, commercially focused advice. Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues. A team player who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and supporting others to succeed.
