Wrights of Howth is a fourth-generation Irish family business rooted in the heart of Howth, North Dublin. Known for our world-famous Organic Irish Smoked Salmon and artisan food heritage, we’ve built a reputation for excellence across our locations in Howth, Heuston Station, and Dublin Airport.
We’re now looking for a Senior Barista / Floor Supervisor / Head Waiter to join our team at The Dog House, our quirky, character-filled restaurant that’s as much a local institution as it is a culinary destination.

The Dog House isn’t your typical restaurant—it’s a place where vintage charm meets modern hospitality. Think velvet couches, candlelit tables, and a wood-fired pizza oven in a converted train carriage. We serve up hearty food, great coffee, and a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with solid hospitality experience who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. You’ll be hands-on with service while also stepping up to lead the team, support daily operations, and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional table service with professionalism and warmth
• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations
• Lead and motivate staff, setting a positive example through your work ethic
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously
• Foster a customer-first culture where feedback is valued and acted upon
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and cost control
• Uphold hygiene and safety standards
• Contribute ideas to enhance our unique menu and guest experience

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hospitality, ideally in a senior waiter or supervisory role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to inspire and energise a team
• Proactive problem-solving mindset
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
