As our Senior Beef Finishing Specialist, you’ll manage your own bull beef block, supported by an experienced Farm Manager and a team dedicated to your success. You’ll also oversee and support a colleague working alongside you, coordinating daily farm activities together to ensure smooth operations. This role offers the chance to build confidence in intensive cattle systems while developing your planning, decision-making, communication, and people management skills. You’ll play a meaningful part in shaping farm performance and gain hands-on experience with, data-driven tools such as Excel spreadsheets, Gallagher animal management software, and FarmIQ. Alongside this, you’ll continue to expand your technical expertise in pasture, animal health, and feed management. Whether you’re stepping up or bringing established experience, this role offers stretch, support, and space to grow. THE FARM Puketōtara Farm is a bull beef property encompassing 780 effective hectares in cell systems. We run up to 3500 bulls at any one time ranging from bought in 100kg calves to finishing 2-year-old bulls. The farm is just fifteen minutes from Kerikeri, giving you the best of rural living with all the convenience of town close by. The school bus collects at the gate, and beaches, bush tracks, and family-friendly outdoor activities are all within easy reach, making it a great place for balance, lifestyle, and community.
