We are looking for Senior Behavioural Interventionists to work with our organization in Vancouver.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess or be pursuing a Masters degree in a relevant field
  • Must possess or be pursuing BCBA/BCABA certification
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with individuals with ASD as a Behavioural Interventionist (BI)
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour

Responsibilities

As a Senior Behaviour Interventionist, you will be working with young children diagnosed with ASD as part of a Behavioural Intervention team, under the direct mentorship and supervision of a Senior Behavioural Consultant. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Senior Behavioural Consultant with design and implementation of individualized ABA-based intervention programs for children with behavioural challenges and/or those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other Developmental Disabilities
  • Providing on-going monitoring and evaluation of ABA-based intervention programs
  • Providing training to behavioural interventionists, parents and/or other related parties
  • Providing on-going training, monitoring and evaluation of Behavioural Interventionist
  • Assisting Senior Behavioural Consultant to conduct assessment activities related to the need for behavioral interventions
  • Designing and presenting training workshops / assist with training
  • Researching the literature related to ABA-based interventions
  • Supervising team meetings in the family home, as well as, participating in clinical meetings with relevant professionals
  • Participating in monthly clinical team meetings with Clinical Director and other members of the Family Centred Practices Group
  • Designing data collection protocols and interpreting data to make data-based decisions relative to each child’s program
  • Collaborating with Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Preschool Staff, and other professionals with regards to individual child’s program
  • Performing functional assessments and designing Positive Behaviour Support plans with families, schools and/or community programs
  • Providing implementation support for Positive Behaviour Support plans
  • Preparing supports and materials
  • Providing collaborative support in transitioning children from home-based to school-based programs
  • Meeting with Clinical Director and/or Senior Behavioural Consultant monthly to review client cases
  • Seeking and obtaining feedback from supervisors on interventions designed for specific clients
  • Collecting and preparing notes for clinical review meetings and/or BACB supervision meetings
  • Meeting clinical competencies
  • Maintaining professional and ethical standards as outlined by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
