Responsible for the day-to-day administration and analysis of benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending accounts, health spending accounts, and 401(k) retirement plan. Primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and issues, coordinate with benefits vendors, oversee benefits compliance, maintain benefits systems, and assist with leave of absence administration.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits administration, minimum 3 years of experience at a Benefits Analyst level
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS Regulations, ACA, and FMLA
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Collaborative, excellent communicator with strong people skills, with a strong service orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a practical and well-balanced approach to decision making, change management, and problem solving
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated individual
Responsibilities

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Subject matter expert for all Home Chef’s benefits plans and programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts and 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Primary point of contact for benefits questions and issues.
  • Maintain relationships with insurance carriers, consultants, benefits brokers, and third-party administrators. Monitor vendor performance to ensure service quality and adherence to contracts.
  • Subject matter expert in benefits compliance. Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and other regulatory requirements at the federal, state and local levels; prepare necessary filings and reports. Oversee annual 401K True Up and 401K audit.
  • Develop and implement communication/education programs to enhance employee knowledge, appreciation, and effective use of benefits.
  • Project Manage annual open enrollment, including post OE cleanup.
  • Prepare and maintain departmental billing, including reconciliation of all benefits invoices.
  • Oversee benefits portal in ADP, including all carrier file feeds. Complete periodic audits to maintain data integrity. Primary point of contact for carriers and vendor partners related to file feed issues
  • Assist Benefits Specialist with leave of absence administration and serve as back-up support
  • Work on projects that may be assigned ad hoc and assist with other corporate initiatives, as necessary
