JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the beverage program. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional knowledge of mixology and beverages, and a keen understanding of the upscale dining experience. This will also include collaboration with the culinary team to create a harmonious pairing of food and beverage offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience in managing beverage programs in upscale dining establishments.
  • Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, including current trends and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
  • Proficient in inventory management and cost control techniques.
  • Understanding of local regulations and compliance related to beverage service.
  • Passion for providing excellent guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage service procedures, strong background in hospitality in a full-service, upscale high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Innovative with an advanced knowledge of spirits, wines, craft cocktails and overall mixology.
  • 3 years’ related experience as an AGM, Beverage Manager, or similar role in an upscale, high-volume restaurant/bar/lounge environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Physical demands include light work, prolonged walking and/or standing along with the occasional exertion of up to 30lbs. of force.
