UPMC is looking for a Senior BI Developer to join their team. This position will be a hybrid role typical ON-SITE 1 week a month however could change. We are targeting candidates with Epic Ambulatory knowledge/certification, Epic Healthy Planet Certified is also preferred.

DESCRIPTION

The Senior BI Developer develops and supports solutions that turn data into actionable information, enabling data driven decisions for UPMC. The Senior BI Developer creates and maintains reports and dashboards, moving data output from existing static content to interactive visualizations. The Senior BI Developer may need to do non reporting build within the electronic health record. This senior level position will act as a mentor and assist others when needed along with guiding and directing requests from end users so that we are meeting the needs and creating the best visualization for the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Experience with application build within the Epic electronic health record.
  • Preferred: Certification in Healthy Planet, Ambulatory, or relevant Epic certification.
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree typically in computer science, mathematics, HIM, analytics, statistics, or relevant associated course work or 4 years equivalent BI work experience.
  • Preferred: Experience working with HEDIS, HCCs, and Value Based Analytics.
  • Healthcare analytic experience preferred
  • Preferred knowledge of clinical workflow in hospital, ambulatory and post-acute environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management best practices.
  • Ability to plan and manage simultaneous tasks and projects.
  • High degree of professionalism, enthusiasm, and initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment is a must.
  • Experience working with minimal direction and the keen ability to leverage business sense to guide decision making next slide healthcare experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, strong interpersonal relationships, excellent planning, communication, documentation, and analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Work with leadership on new project initiatives.
