The Role
Bid Manager / Pre-Construction Manager 53-57,500 AED Plus Flights & Medical • One of the most dynamic & established Buildings Main Contractors in Dubai. Over 50 Years success and 550 + Projects delivered from 5* Hotels to High -Rise Towers. • As the BID Manager handling Pre-Construction you will be managing technical bid submissions for large scale and complex construction projects across the UAE. • Sat in the Bid Management team in the Dubai Head office you will be an integral part of the leadership reporting into the General Manager. Working alongside Estimation, QHSE, Technical, Planning Controls & MEP. • Are you capable of client facing and driving the strategy and coordination. This may mean delivery methods, programs, sub-contractor selection, procurement strategy are aligned. • Making sure EVERYONE is on the same page for the delivery, execution, risk and collaboration. • They do not tender anything they don’t wish to win! You are joining a business with a QUALITY over quantity approach when it comes to tenders and pre-construction. • Hold a privileged position to negotiate a % at single source as well as entering PSA agreements to ensure win win’s for all parties. Do you have the client facing skills, confidence and eye for detail needed at bidding & tender stage? The core business for the group ranges from 300 Million to 2.4 Billion AED but they have delivered projects at $1 Billion USD just to set the scene. If you have worked for a Main Contractor in this capacity then our client wants to hear from you. They will not entertain anyone new to the UAE / GCC region as this isn’t a role to learn on the job as they expect individuals to hit the ground running and make an impact. You will look at risk assessments, build ability, soil samples, program, methods of construction, lifting and cranes placements and how program can be reduced. Hands on experience thinking outside the box on value engineering, design and delivery. Is this you ?
Requirements
Do you possess the following experience • Delivered Projects as No1 on site for a reputable Tier 1 /2 Buildings Main Contractor • Hold a strong network across the UAE client base and supply chain • Strong technical & engineering experience with exposure to Lump Sum Design & Build Projects • Degree Educated – Civil Engineering or Construction Management • Happy with hands on IT & Software experience – you understand you will be actioning everything not passing to a secretary • Possess strong communication skills and this will be shown throughout the interview process with NSR Associates and the client • Ideally 12 Years Post Graduate experience • Can you pull apart a program and see where time and profit can be made • You will have the technical understanding to read drawings and review programs in depth This is NOT a hybrid role. You will be based in the Dubai Head office working a traditional 5 day working week from 7.30-8am through to 5.30-6pm. But like anything in construction you understand there will be long days and hours in preparation for bid submissions. Role will involve travel to meet clients, visiting sites to review potential risks and opportunities
