Job Description
AECOM’s Urbanism + Planning studio is currently seeking a Senior Proposals Specialist, to join our Landscape Architecture team. The Senior Proposals Specialist will be involved in bids plans, technical reviews and quality management—supports in proactively identifying new business development opportunities and is actively involved in the development of proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related subject
  • Knowledge in bid preparation and proposals in Landscape Architecture
  • 8+ years experience required in a similar role

Responsibilities
  • May be required to supervise and mentor bid management staff within the project team or location.
  • Assists in the development of proposals and participate in presentations to potential clients.
  • Has bid development and/or technical proposal writing experience, may require hands-on cost proposal development.
  • Supports the relevant Leads on all proposal activities.
  • Maintains a list of all active projects and provides weekly reports to the bids and proposal unit.
  • Identifies prospects and pursuits.
  • Assists in necessary market research and reporting required for new growth areas.
  • Works with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled on time.
  • Assists in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Participates in the go/no-go decision-making process, along with the appropriate managers and participates in the bid development process from start to finish.
  • Reviews tender documents, bid/qualifications request documents and drawings for proposal preparation.
  • Works with the Discipline Leads to produce man-hour estimates and delivery schedules.
  • Resolves issues in any discussions with other End Markets and Regions as necessary to ensure that the RFP scope is addressed adequately and all costs are accurately considered.
  • Oversees the process of obtaining quotes from sub-consultants as required and leads negotiations of appropriate terms and conditions based on AECOM’s standard contract and Risk committee requirements.
  • Monitors Salesforce entries for the business to ensure that the information entered is up to date and accurate.
  • Ensures that AECOM policies and procedures are followed and that all records are maintained.
  • Ensures that approvals are in place in line with the latest AECOM EMIA Delegations of Authority.
  • Verifies that all legal qualifications and the Middle East Risk Committee directives have been included in the final bid document before submission to the client.
  • Delivers within proposal deadlines.
  • Prepares presentations required for the Risk Committee.
  • Independently presents to the Risk committee for pursuits valued up to $50m.
