Position Overview:
The Senior Big Data Engineer will be responsible for engineering big data solutions and multi-tiered date environments. You will design, develop, and maintain large scale data integration, analytics, and telecommunication-enabled information systems to support Marine Corps Logistics Command’s mission of delivering agile, date-driven logistics readiness. Experience with large scale big data deployment in Government and large scale environments is strongly preferred.

Required Experience:

• Experience with Hadoop-based technologies (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapReduce, Hive, HDFS).
• Experience with NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) (d) Ability to design data models using Enterprise Data modeling tools (ERWin, Visio).
• Builds high-performance algorithms, prototypes, and data models using required programing.
• Experience integrating Big Data solutions with SAP technologies.
• 5+ Years of relevant experienc

• Lead initiatives utilizing big data solutions to provide actionable insights for addressing strategic and tactical mission objectives.
• Builds high-performance algorithms, prototypes, and data models using required programing languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java, Perl, Scala)
• Analyze and develop data set processes for data ingestion, modeling, and mining.
• Design and maintain solutions that support real-time data synchronization across geographically dispersed sites using DoD approved telecommunications protocols.

Required Experience:

Pay: $72,670.80 - $111,603.55 per year
