Description

Location: Rishon LeTsiyon Model: Hybrid Scope: Full Time, Fully Employed Description: As a Big Data Engineer, you'll design, build, and scale the data infrastructure behind our platform. You'll work on distributed systems, real-time streaming pipelines, and production services that handle data at scale. Responsibilities Build high-throughput, low-latency streaming pipelines Design and scale distributed data systems Own services end-to-end (development, deployment, operations) Partner with AI and backend teams on real-time data solutions Optimize performance, reliability, and observability Troubleshoot and improve production systems Qualifications 5+ years of backend or data engineering experience Strong Java skills (Spring, Vert.x, or similar) Kafka and stream-processing expertise (Flink, Spark, Beam, Kafka Streams) Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms Strong understanding of performance tuning and observability Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and ClickHouse Ownership mindset and strong engineering fundamentals Nice to Have Node.js experience Fintech Background Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI development tools

Responsibilities

Design, build, and scale data infrastructure, including high-throughput streaming pipelines and distributed systems. Own services end-to-end from development and deployment to operations and performance optimization.
