Job Summary/Objective
Owns and conducts all billing administration activities for the enterprise. Serves as the first point of contact for billing questions and concerns. Ensures billing and related processes are completed in accordance with accounting policies and compliance requirements. Ensures internal teams are aware of billing changes/initiatives that impact customers and products. Provides guidance and mentorship to newly hired employees and junior level team members.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)
1. Completes end-to-end billing activities for the OEC company for subscriptions, commissions, and logistics, across all customer groups such as dealers, suppliers, multi-store operators, etc.
2. Completes billing activities for rebates, conversions and subscriptions directly to the manufacturer.
3. Receives and responds to customer billing questions.
4. Serves as the first point of contact for customer concerns and complaints. Researches reported issues, and partners with Direct Sales, Customer Support, and Customer Success to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Escalates problems to department leadership as appropriate.
5. Serves as the first point of contact for internal teams who have questions on billing policies or procedures, are inquiring on status, or who need to report billing related issues.
6. Responds to invoice and statement requests received from customers.
7. Partners with the Product teams and other internal stakeholders on billing initiatives that impact customers and products. Pulls reports and analyzes billing patterns to support decision making for product pricing and other billing/pricing changes that impact customers and OEC revenue.
8. Ensures billing operations are completed in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements. Supports operational and compliance audits as requested.
9. Supports accounts receivable’s collections efforts and assists in keeping customer cards up to date. Offers guidance and assistance with grievances or complications that cause collection issues.
10. Provides training, guidance, and mentorship to newly hired employees and junior level team members.
Education
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Accounting or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
Experience, Skills and Key Competencies
At least 6 years of billing experience is required.
