Description Senior BIM Manager Role Description: HZ is seeking a Senior BIM Manager with experience on complex, multi-discipline design and construction projects to join our Project Design team. This role will support the project design team, monitor project development, maintain and monitor model health, and assist in the delivery of exhibition building models, including deliverables for all Facility (Architecture, Structural, MEP, etc.) and Show disciplines (Show Set, Audio, Video, Lighting, etc) involved in the project. The Senior BIM Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies and workflows across large-scale projects for facility and show teams. This role ensures BIM execution plans align with the client's project goals, support cross-disciplinary coordination, and maintain high standards of model accuracy and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, in addition to a deep understanding of the design and delivery process and the ability to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines. In addition, the Senior BIM Manager mentors, coaches, and supervises BIM Managers and Coordinators regarding their Project support roles, in collaboration with other project leadership. Location: Los Angeles, California Reports to: PAL Employment Type: 40 FT Hours Compensation Type: Salary Registration(s): Registered Architect Education: Bachelors in Architecture from a NCARB accredited program Duties: Review and update existing BIM standards and facilitate the updating of the existing BIM execution plan to align with client projects. Support the integration of BIM data into client control databases to streamline the single source of information across datasets. Lead BIM strategy development and ensure company-wide BIM standards and protocols are consistently applied. Manage model coordination across disciplines, identify clashes, and lead resolution efforts utilizing cloud based software such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). Create folder structure, file naming conventions, guidelines and templates for ACC to be standardized while incorporating clients standards into projects. Oversee BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), project-specific workflows, and information exchange protocols. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to BIM coordinators, modelers, and project teams. Serve as the primary liaison between design, construction, and owner/operator teams for all BIM-related matters. Conduct quality assurance reviews on BIM deliverables and ensure compliance with Meow Wolf and industry standards. Integrate BIM with construction management tools (e.g., 4D/5D scheduling, facility management platforms). Facilitate and lead BIM coordination meetings and workshops throughout project phases. Maintain the model health through the entirety of the project life cycle. Be familiar with the maintenance and QAQC of the Revit ecosystem and be the subject matter expert for all BIM related questions. Key Responsibilities: Undertakes Project Manager responsibilities for major projects ($2.0+ million annual billing). Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Ensures proper staff is assigned and utilized on their projects. Reviews project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budget. Leads successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality, satisfied client). Contributes to successful delivery and performance of projects. Cultivates relationships with clients and holds strong relationships with clients. Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process including weekly rhythm. Takes active steps in the pursuit of winning new business or additional opportunities with existing clients and is responsible for assigned portion of office sales goal. Assists and/or leads team in pursuit of new work (repeat work, SOQ and Proposals). Develops and/or executes project Win strategy. Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Ensures quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations. Actively engages and participates in the training, coaching, and mentoring of junior staff. Qualifications: Must have experience with Architectural, Engineering, Building Systems, Show and AudioNideo/Lighting models and drawing packages and workflows specific to each discipline. Minimum of 7 years' experience in construction and themed entertainment BIM Management or related roles. You have exceptional organizational, communication, interpersonal, and management skills paired with a desire to learn. You are a positive, proactive, and collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a large, creative environment. You have the ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion, particularly within complex schedules. You are equipped with experience working in an environment where discretion regarding sensitive or confidential information is required. You come to the table with knowledge of common BIM best practices and implementation strategies. You possess the ability to balance between project delivery goals while being empathetic to the project team to foster a harmonious environment. Professional level expertise in Revit, understanding model set up and management and have a deep understanding of modeling and drawing creation. Must have experience in all phases of a project, from concept through construction delivery and close-out. You have training skills and experience working with a wide range of software implementation. You possess familiarity of core platforms and programs as they will be utilized on a daily basis: Autodesk Construction Cloud (management, workflows and processes) Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD Clash detection in Navisworks and/or ACC, Microsoft Office 365, Bluebeam Revu, Scheduling/Planning Software. The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the success candidate's individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and consideration to participate in our discretionary annual bonus incentive program.
