Description

Providence Healthcare, a registered NDIS company, and its affiliated clinics require a very experienced bookkeeper for an immediate start in our Mentone office. You will also be expected to work across the associated clinics with payroll and all accounting services. You will be supported fully in your role.
Job Summary: Provides a variety of bookkeeping and accounting functions including payroll.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bookkeeping qualification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years bookkeeping and payroll experience using Xero accounting software.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and willingness to upgrade computer skills, as required.

JOB SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience.
  • Proven payroll experience.
  • Proficient skills in Xero accounting software.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multi tasks in an environment where priorities can change rapidly.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and operate a computerized accounting and payroll system.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to anticipate and manage a changing workflow.
  • Good computer, analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and Gmail and Google drive.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work under peak load pressure to ensure deadlines aremet.
Responsibilities
  • Performs bookkeeping duties including reconciliations.
  • Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
  • Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner for around 140 employees.
  • Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Other duties as required.
