Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 base

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is a fast-growing consumer products company in the personal care space, known for delivering high-impact innovation and culturally relevant branding across North America. They are seeking a Senior Brand Manager to take strategic leadership of one of their flagship haircare brands. The ideal candidate has proven experience in beauty, ideally haircare, combined with a deep professional and personal passion for the category. You are fluent in category trends, follow the top haircare brands and influencers, and bring an authentic enthusiasm for products and innovation.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for an experienced brand leader who can own the full brand lifecycle - from insight and innovation pipeline development to go-to-market strategy, retailer engagement, and commercial performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of brand management experience within beauty, ideally haircare, wellness, or personal care
  • Proven track record of owning a brand or category P&L and delivering sustained growth
  • Experience managing the full innovation pipeline from consumer insight to commercialization
  • Strong understanding of North American retail and consumer dynamics, particularly in mass, drug, or specialty channels
  • Skilled in using Nielsen, IRI, and POS data to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives and retail buyers
  • Strategic thinker with strong executional discipline and entrepreneurial drive
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Must be available to work onsite 3+ days/week in the North Toronto area
Responsibilities
  • Lead the brand vision, positioning, and long-term growth strategy for the assigned haircare brand
  • Develop and present annual brand plans to senior leadership and retail partners
  • Serve as the category and consumer expert, identifying white space opportunities and driving brand differentiation
  • Partner with creative, communications, eCommerce, and sales teams to align brand messaging across all touchpoints
  • Own the brand P&L in partnership with Finance, including forecasting, margin analysis, and ROI optimization
  • Monitor brand performance using Nielsen, IRI, POS, and consumer insights data
  • Lead the innovation stage-gate process from consumer insight to launch execution
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Regulatory, and Packaging on feasibility, formulation, and packaging design
  • Manage portfolio health, including lifecycle analysis, rationalization, and pricing strategy
  • Lead retailer sell-in presentations for new products, brand stories, and promotional programs
  • Mentor junior team members and foster cross-functional alignment
