The Role:
Reporting into the Customer Director you will oversee the MR PORTER global brand marketing strategy and budgets with a focus on both cross-channel coordination to ensure that the macro global marketing strategy is aligned across all customer facing brand activities and driving market leading, innovative activations in the INTL and MENA region.

Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:

  • Lead annual strategic marketing plan for MR PORTER in key markets from strategy to implementation, working closely with the Mr P SLT and regional teams.
  • Manage the Global Sales & Marketing budget for MR PORTER; leading annual planning, regional alignment, budget phasing, accounting for shifts in business needs and ultimately ensuring all activity across a multi-stakeholder group is planned within existing budget framework
  • Own and manage the MR PORTER Sales & Marketing calendar, orchestrating updates for all stakeholders and areas of the business
  • Lead the process for end-to-end project lifecycle, managing promotional programs, including MR PORTER seasonal and brand campaigns, commercial campaigns, exclusive collection launches and special projects, as well as brand marketing initiatives.
  • Lead and execute the creation of the annual campaigns calendar for MR PORTER – strategy & architecture – aligning brand marketing strategy (customer need-state, themes) top-line, Site Trading and regional marketing team (AM, APAC, ME, INTL) requirements.
  • Drive overall brand awareness and marketing KPIs for MR PORTER, with direct responsibility for the INTL and MENA regions
  • Lead Tier 1 brand marketing campaigns & events, ensuring orchestration between all relevant teams (e.g. PR, Creative, Brand Partnerships, PS)
  • Lead, manage and develop the Brand Marketing Execs, as they plan and execute global and local marketing campaigns on time, within budget and to a high standard, working closely with internal teams (e.g. PR, PS, Creative, Production, Customer Retention, Site Trading and buying) as well as with other external partners
  • Partner with PR and Personal Shopping Team to create bespoke activations and events for the INTL and MENA regions
  • Drive the annual brand media strategy with in-housed paid media teams and media agencies, ensuring strategy is driven within available budget, supporting key KPIs and ensuring implementation and monitoring of performance throughout
  • Lead high net-worth customer acquisition and incremental sales via strategic partnership at scale and customer retention initiatives for INTL and MENA
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to align marketing activities based on business requirements and targets
  • Proactively and cross-functionally work with regional and HQ teams to share best practices and efficiently use common resources
  • Identify market insights, competitive intelligence and business opportunities
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new platforms, technologies, digital marketing trends and competitive insights to drive innovation in campaign ideation/roll-out and calendar planning
  • Support Customer Director with wider initiatives, including but not limited to; resource management, strategic documents and ad-hoc requests

The type of person we are looking for:

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital/retail/fashion industries in a B2C context
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills required to be dynamic and highly articulate to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Strong skill set in strategic development, budget management, conceptualising, idea creation and organisation
  • Must be able to lead meetings, conduct presentations, and persuasively discuss business issues
  • Ability to apply qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to create business justification
  • This person will be comfortable driving the strategic thinking, developing high level plans and having commercial drive whilst getting involved in more tactical day to day operations.
  • Must demonstrate corporate know-how in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience managing multiple agencies, partners and vendors
  • A passion for digital marketing and fashion e-commerce
