Our responsibilities cover a range of assets including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and river protection structures. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with asset management experience to join our nationwide structures team. You’ll play a key role in delivering our structures asset management services. You’ll be managing and delivering a portfolio of structures asset management works for our established client base. This portfolio includes: Life-extending strengthening and remediation works Upgrades of existing structures to meet higher loadings Resilience improvements and climate adaptation projects Repairs for vehicle damage, heavy rainfall events, and more This is an excellent career opportunity to grow your leadership and consulting skills as part of a market leader in bridge engineering and structures asset management. Ko wai koe | About you We’re looking for an engineer who is passionate about helping clients manage their portfolio of existing structural assets. Your focus will be on asset management, overseeing the quality and safety of structural assets. The ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 5 years’ experience A solutions-focused and pragmatic approach Strengths in project management, client liaison, and risk management Experience managing bridges, civil structures, or similar assets A background in either design or construction of bridges or similar civil structures is preferred. However, we also welcome candidates with a general structural or infrastructure background, particularly those with experience working with government clients or managing portfolios. Ideally, you’ll have specific experience in the land transport sector, including: Partnering with clients to understand their long-term plans Managing a portfolio of assets Assessing existing bridge assets Designing and delivering upgrades or remedial works You’ll be collaborative, a strong problem-solver, a good communicator, well-organised, and keen to continually learn and grow your technical and consulting skills.
