Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Stantec have a strong reputation in the transport engineering due to recent project wins, and we are currently seeking a Senior Bridge Drafter to join our Transport Delivery team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive global organisation with a great team culture and a focus on creating innovative solutions to our clients. We work with state and local government, developers, landowners and various other sectors, delivering traffic and transport solutions as well as working in collaboration with our interstate and international offices with specialist skills. You will be in a key role leading and coordinating project specific bridge drafting in collaboration with other design teams of various disciplines. With a strong pipeline of committed work and a team of technical professionals you will play an integral role in our upcoming projects.

DAY TO DAY TASKS WOULD INVOLVE:

  • Participate in project delivery and ensure work output is of a high technical standard.
  • Complete drawings/ designs using AutoCAD and REVIT in accordance with procedures
  • Conduct drafting reviews and contribute to resource scheduling for projects.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance and development to other team members.
  • Deliver a client focussed service and nurture the client relationship.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE YOU’LL NEED:

  • Advanced Diploma or Certificate IV in Engineering with industry related experience in transport infrastructure projects.
  • Mid to high level competency using REVIT with understanding of BIM/Digital Engineering (DE) processes.
  • Familiar with the relevant local authority standards (MRWA and PTA experiences are beneficial) as well as strong knowledge of best practice standards, guidelines, current trends and legislation.
  • Familiar with timber, precast concrete, steel framing and reinforced concrete construction.
  • Able to provide alternate engineering solutions to the engineering team on projects.
