The Department of Justice and Community Safety has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Budget and Finance Analyst.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Budget and Finance Analyst, reporting through the Manager, Financial Strategy, plays a supporting role in financial management policy and compliance processes. This role also provides extensive liaison with internal stakeholders to assist with department wide and specific strategic financial analysis and advice.

In the role of a Senior Budget and Finance Analyst, some of your duties will include:

  • Assisting with strategic budget financial planning and policy development
  • Contributing to an effective and accurate reporting and compliance process
  • Providing informed strategic advice and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure high quality financial management outcomes for the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic budget financial planning and policy development
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and research skills with an aptitude for problem solving in the context of financial and budget resource management
  • Government experience is highly desirable
