BUSINESS ANALYST JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our growing firm. In this role, you will document business requirements, develop detailed design documents, facilitate configuration changes, develop test plans, and conduct user acceptance testing and training required to support the Division of Medical Quality Assurance, Bureau of Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.
  • Scrum, Agile or CBAP™ certification preferred.
  • Experienced with agile/scrum concepts, scrum events, artifacts, and values.
  • Experience conducting cost-benefit analysis and strategic business process modeling.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving proficiency.
  • Five years of experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologies and documentation.
  • Five years of experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Five years of experience with creating and presenting internal and external status reports and detailed status reports suitable for presentation to the management team.
  • Five years of experience with meeting facilitation and documentation.
  • Four years of experience implementing, integrating with, or maintaining MicroPact’s Versa Online and/or Versa Regulation products.
  • Five years of experience with leading meetings and determining work tasks that need to be completed.
  • Six years of experience with delivering the project in the agreed schedule, to the correct technical specification (i.e. defined to meet user requirements) within the approved budget or other specified criteria.
  • Strong ability to analyze opportunities & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively & confidently (both verbal and written).
  • Effective communication, listening, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and passion towards testing/quality.

    Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff as assigned by the Department.
  • Develop documentation as assigned by the Department (i.e., diagrams, flow charts, requirements documents).
  • Perform needs analysis, analyze business processes, develop process maps, and assist project managers in all phases of the projects as assigned by the Department.
  • Develop test cases and test plans.
  • Perform testing on system changes to meet user‐defined requirements.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff.
  • Facilitate meetings with technical and program staff as assigned by the Department (i.e., schedule meetings, document decisions, identify issues and action items).
  • Produce status reports on the implementation of user‐defined requirements as assigned by the Department.
  • Produce detailed accounting of hours worked by tasks as assigned by the Department.
  • Follow DOH IT processes and coordinate with other DOH IT staff to ensure compliance with DOH standards as assigned by the Department.
  • Correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams and internal stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status as assigned by the Department.
  • Actively participate in project status meetings as assigned by the Department.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Contract Manager to achieve cost savings under this agreement, where feasible and practicable, as assigned by the Department. Those efforts include, but are not limited to, identifying common system errors in systems that can be resolved in a manner that achieves cost savings in the State of Florida.
  • Any cost savings identified must be documented and included as part of the monthly status report.
