Responsibilities

THE PURPOSE:

This role will be responsible for effectively bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, contributing to the overall success of projects and initiatives, by providing analysis and documentation of business and system requirements for assigned AP+ initiatives and projects.
Assessing new concepts against current systems and procedures, analyse stakeholder needs from and end-to-end perspective, engage internal and external clients through various facilitation techniques and mediums and provide high-quality, fit for purpose business analysis artefacts.

THE CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Gathering requirements through the entire delivery and operational life cycle, including defining and managing scoping, requirements definition, and prioritisation activities.
  • Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
  • Identifying and validating systems, products, or services against user stories/experience, goals, metrics, and targets.
  • Identifying and influencing stakeholders, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit, including dealing with problems and issues, managing resolutions, and implementing stakeholder engagement/communications plans.
  • Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by nontechnical audiences.
  • Supporting and driving the implementing and testing of solutions.
  • Supporting business transition and helping to establish change and improvements.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.

THE CAPABILITIES NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis
  • Experience in practices and tools (Waterfall/Agile, Jira)
  • Understanding of Payments industry, NPP products, payment process flows and real-time payments desirable
  • Consulting experience desirable
  • Experience in working with Government, Commercial Banking and Financial Institutions, Legal, Compliance and regulatory bodies desirable
  • Knowledge of the payments technology, IT systems and the financial industry
