Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to help us enable some critical initiatives in our Workplace technology team. The ideal applicant will be able to use their strong attention to detail and high-level thinking skills to ensure that both technical and business requirements are understood and clearly documented. This is a full time, permanent position based in Auckland. We spoke with the Head of Technology Workplace (who you'd report to), and they gave us some great insight on what to expect with this tūranga (role): What are some of the day to day tasks you can expect to complete? Plan, estimate, and support coordination and implementation of change according to agreed standards and using agreed business analysis processes, tools and artefacts including agile methodology concepts. Use exceptional research, data analysis and decision-making skills to assist in prioritization and delivery of a wide range of enhancements and system changes from idea through to implementation. Provide interpretation of technical information to business unit and business information / requirements, non-functional requirements to technical teams to enable delivery of solutions. What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? Decommissioning of Cisco Unified Call Manager Removal of Oracle Java software across the organisation What skills and experience are required? Around 7 years of experience in strategic or business analysis roles The ability to align business, technical and delivery perspectives around measurable outcomes Comfortable with technology concepts with added advantage of having previously worked in a desktop and collaboration tooling domain (MS365, InTune, Windows, Mac) A proven capability to lead impact analysis, manage depending and drive business readiness in large-scale change The ability to navigate ambiguity, engage senior stakeholders and shape direction through evidence and insight What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? This role will suit someone who is detail orientated but also has the ability to think high-level. Personal resilience as well as the ability to navigate through change and uncertainty is essential. There will be a lot of context switching in this role, so this must be something you are very comfortable with. It is important you have worked in a technical environment before.
