Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with the People Leader (who you’ll report to) and they told us the following about the role: This role will be based in Auckland. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. What are the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Lead and manage complex discovery, design, configuration, and delivery phases of technology projects across multiple business domains. Define and manage scope, business outcomes and requirements, ensuring alignment with strategy and delivery objectives. Facilitate workshops and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand business processes, systems and improvement opportunities. Translate business requirements into clear, testable and prioritised technical specifications or user stories and apply these through hands on configuration within relevant systems (Including Transact). Apply advanced technical, analytical and modelling techniques to support decision making, problem solving and process optimisation. Bridge the gap between business and technology teams, ensuring functional alignment and successful solution delivery through both analysis and practical configuration. Manage risks and challenges, including impact assessments, mitigation planning and dependency management. Support configuration, testing and deployment of solutions, ensuring a smooth transition into business as usual. What projects will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? Embedding core banking products (Deposits and Loans) into the new transact system, liaising with business and technology experts and the vendor to understand impacts of changes to products, and being able to communicate this effectively across multiple stakeholders to ensure we deliver the right outcome for our customers and colleagues. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? You get to be a part of a major transformation journey - first of its kind in NZ modern cloud banking and contribute to shaping how core banking operates at BNZ. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? Learning and configuring the temenos transact for the bank and understanding functional aspects of transact and respective transact screens to create business docs, build relationships with vendors and get up to speed with transact knowledge. What skills are required to be successful in this role? 5+ yrs technical expertise in T24 tools and knowledge in TAFJ/IF/IRIS. Temenos product knowledge and knowledge of general Architecture of T24 and related interfaces. T24 Customization design and development. COB run & monitoring and T24 reports reconciliation. Working knowledge on Infrastructure as Code deployments on Cloud and Containers. Working knowledge of Docker files, HELM Charts, YAML files, stateful sets, Persistent volume, k8s scheduler, SSL certificate management. Experience with CI/CD tools and languages: Jenkins, SHELL, SPINNAKER, Terraform, ARM Templates, BitBucket, NEXUS, JIRA. Please note: Job applications close on Thursday 4 December 2025 at 11:59pm.
