POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical specifications that support enterprise systems, including policy, claims, billing, and finance operations. This role involves leading process improvement initiatives, conducting data analysis, and supporting reporting and analytics development. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the business and IT to ensure systems meet operational, compliance, and strategic needs. This role will also contribute to system enhancements, ensure alignment with business goals, and may mentor junior analysts as needed.
The Senior Business Analyst will report to the Head of Software Solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or related field required.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Scrum Master preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years as a Business Analyst in insurance or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of policy lifecycle, claims, reinsurance, and billing systems.
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel, and tools such as Visio, Lucid Chart, or similar.
  • Experienced in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with ability to bridge business and IT.
  • Experience with reporting platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

Travel Required
Local travel to Oakbrook Terrace, IL office.
