REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in the retail industry.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Deep understanding of retail operations, systems, and challenges (e.g., POS systems, ERP, merchandising, e-commerce, and omnichannel strategies).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading workshops and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in the retail industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across retail operations, supply chain, IT, and finance to analyze, document, and optimize business processes, ensuring solutions are aligned with strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for complex business initiatives within the retail space.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals, challenges, and opportunities, and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions with users and department heads.
  • Analyze and improve key retail processes including merchandising, point of sale (POS), inventory management, supply chain, and customer experience.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed solutions on business operations and identify risks or constraints.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and project management teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Serve as the product owner or liaison in agile teams, ensuring the product backlog aligns with business priorities.
  • Monitor solution implementation, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Produce clear and concise documentation including business cases, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in retail.
