OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives across construction, digital transformation, and regulatory modernization projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and process optimization, with a strong ability to translate complex business needs into actionable solutions. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact outcomes that align with organizational goals.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business analysis within the last 15 years, including work on IM/IT, construction, or transformation projects.
  • University degree (PhD, graduate, or undergraduate) in a relevant field
  • Professional certification such as CBAP, PMP, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following project types:
  • Engineering / R&D / Innovation
  • Business Transformation (including non-IT scope)
  • Experience working in a business analysis role within a Canadian government setting is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual proficiency is an asset.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $31.51-$42.63 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 24 per week

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and document business requirements for both IM/IT and non-IT projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering sessions to define scope and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain business process models, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution wireframes.
  • Conduct research and present findings on complex issues, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Support the development of Statements of Work and procurement documentation for new initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into system specifications.
  • Provide input throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, testing, and implementation.
  • Prepare and deliver clear documentation, including process flows (Visio), technical specifications, and training materials.
  • Ensure compliance with federal standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
