Senior Business Analyst, Brussels (Near site) – Internation client Job role: Senior Business Analyst Languages: English (C1) MANDATORY. Location: Brussels (Near site) Rate: 360-380€/day MANDATORY: 10 years of professional experience. DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across assigned projects. Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather business needs, functional requirements, and process information. Analyse current business processes and identify areas for improvement, optimisation, or automation. Model processes, business rules, and system interactions using BPMN 2.0, UML, and other structured techniques. Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements. Ensure shared understanding of requirements between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams. Contribute to solution design, ensuring that proposed solutions align with business goals and constraints. Maintain and update documentation within collaborative platforms (wiki/collab sites). Support Agile teams by writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining the product backlog (in SAFe or Scrum contexts). Assist test teams by validating test cases and verifying compliance with requirements. Facilitate high-level presentations, progress reporting, and communication with key stakeholders. Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Actively contribute to continuous improvement of BA methodologies, standards, and processes. Knowledge & Skills Excellent analytical skills, able to dissect complex processes and translate them into structured models and requirements. Strong organisational and planning skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously. High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy in deliverables. Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset, capable of evaluating alternative solutions and impacts. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate and align business expectations. Ability to synthesise complex information and communicate it clearly to non-technical audiences. Adaptable and proactive, capable of working independently and within cross-functional teams. Specific Expertise Strong knowledge of information systems, including architecture concepts, system behaviours, and integration flows. Solid understanding of administrative and operational business processes in large organisations. Minimum 10 years of experience with process definition using BPMN, UML, or equivalent modelling methodologies. Proven hands-on experience working as a Business Analyst across complex projects. Demonstrated expertise with modelling standards such as BPMN 2.0 and UML. Use case diagrams Extensive experience with analysis and modelling tools and techniques, including: - Use case diagrams - State diagrams - Entity-relationship models - Activity diagrams Good knowledge of wiki platforms and collaborative sites (Confluence, SharePoint, etc.). Understanding of software development methodologies such as RUP and Agile (Scrum/Kanban). Strong capacity to prepare and write clear, precise business analysis documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams. Confidence in delivering high-level presentations to diverse stakeholder groups. Excellent communicator, able to participate in and lead multi-lingual meetings. Ability to work within an international and multicultural environment.
