About this Role - Senior Business Analyst As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way our company serves merchants and drives business growth. In today’s competitive fintech lending landscape, merchants expect seamless, fast, and transparent access to credit. This role sits at the intersection of product, technology, and business strategy, ensuring that our lending solutions are efficient, frictionless, and genuinely merchant-centric. By leveraging data-driven insights, cross-functional collaboration, and innovative growth strategies, you will directly impact merchant acquisition, engagement, and retention. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about transforming the lending experience and delivering measurable business results. Roles & Responsibilities GTM, Business & Product Work closely with leadership to shape and drive GTM initiatives. Define and drive targets through different channels to achieve business objectives. Ensure seamless flow of information and data across departments to support strategic goals. Run pilots on various initiatives to test hypotheses and optimize business performance. Collaborate with Product, Tech, Credit, and Marketing teams to develop and optimize merchant lending product flows with a ‘Merchant First’ mindset. Drive function-wide alignment on milestones, performance dashboards, and metrics. Partner with the Head of Merchant Lending on growth strategy and run campaigns (App, Social Media, WA, etc.) to improve lead generation. Lead initiatives leveraging technology and data (e.g., Video/Photo match, Data Validation Rules, Alternate Data utilization) to enhance the merchant journey. P&L Management, Analytics & Performance Tracking Own and monitor the P&L for merchant lending products, ensuring profitability while balancing growth and risk. Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance metrics across acquisition, conversion, disbursement, and repayment. Analyse merchant behaviour, lending trends, and campaign performance to provide actionable insights for product and growth strategies. Run financial modelling and scenario analysis to optimize pricing, credit limits, and risk-return profiles. Collaborate with Finance, Data Science, and Product teams to identify bottlenecks, reduce operational costs, and improve overall business efficiency. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration Liaise with Growth, Data Science, Product, and Technology teams to ensure seamless execution. Manage relationships with external stakeholders, vendors, and data providers. Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance merchant experience and improve funnel performance. Required Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience in fintech, digital lending, or merchant finance roles, with strong focus on lending products and growth strategy. Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and driving business performance in fast-paced environments. Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable with data-driven decision-making, KPIs, and performance metrics. Familiarity with merchant lending platforms, credit scoring models, and alternative data sources. Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau, or similar). Business & Strategic Skills: Deep understanding of the merchant ecosystem and fintech lending trends. Experience in GTM strategy, funnel optimization, and growth campaigns. Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution and attention to detail. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common objectives. Track record of leading initiatives that improve customer experience and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
