On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Business Analyst - Business Continuity for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - BUSINESS CONTINUITY - JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst to join our team within a leading Canadian financial institution. The role involves supporting business transformation initiatives, ensuring operational resilience, and delivering value through data-driven insights and stakeholder collaboration.

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - BUSINESS CONTINUITY - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of experience in a business analyst or similar role within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of Canadian banking products and regulatory environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with Visio
  • Excellent communication skills, able to navigate conversations with multiple directors
  • Working experience in any of the big 5 banks is a strong asset

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - BUSINESS CONTINUITY – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Background in disaster recovery, business continuity management, or operational resiliency
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Change Management (e.g., PROSCI)
Responsibilities
  • Work with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
  • Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
  • Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
  • Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
  • Support one or more highly complex business processes
  • Work on multiple projects as a project team member
  • Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
