POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you experienced in managing BI Solution projects from initiation to completion? Can you provide critical business analysis, technical support, and drive improvements for systems and processes?
We have a full-time, term (to September 2025) opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst in the Enterprise Advanced Analytics Department. Reporting to the Manager Enterprise Advanced Analytics, the successful candidate will lead Business intelligence projects, provide expert business and technical support, and drive continuous process improvements.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Minimum of ten years’ recent experience implementing and supporting enterprise data warehouse in medium to large organizations, supplemented by a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Five years recent experience in senior-level business analysis and project management.
  • Strong business analysis (BA) and project management (PM) skills.
  • Ability to oversee and plan all activities around the management of IT systems/programs with a focus on service delivery and a pro-active outlook
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) is considered an asset.
    This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

    Salary Range : $99,795 to $130,425 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and the business to define and implement the BI strategies. Work with the business to develop plans and architecture.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of BI and data analytics projects, including defining scope, develop project plan, budgets, tracking deliverables and alignment with business goals
  • Document current business processes, conduct requirements analysis, and identify system and process improvements.
  • Establish and enforce standards, best practices, and methodologies for BI processes and tools.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive user adoption of BI solutions. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on BI tools and best practices.
  • Mentor business and junior IT resources in business analysis, technical troubleshooting, and BI and Data Warehouse support skills.
