She can expect:

  • Business process analysis and optimization: You will analyze and optimize business processes with a focus on money laundering and terrorism prevention, criminal activity, and sanctions management. At the interface between IT and business departments, you will identify areas for improvement and implement regulatory requirements (including the German Money Laundering Act (GwG), Minimum Requirements for Risk Management (MaRisk), the German Banking Act (KWG), and EU regulations) in the relevant systems. Managing and supporting regulatory change projects, as well as defining technical requirements and monitoring their implementation, will be your responsibility.
  • Project consulting and technical implementation: You will support and advise on compliance-related projects regarding adherence to legal and internal company requirements. In collaboration with specialist departments and IT, you will develop tailored solutions for the technical implementation of regulatory requirements. You will create concepts, specifications, use cases, and process documentation. Furthermore, you will be responsible for creating and executing test cases for the implementation or adaptation of IT systems and support bug fixing (second-level support). The technical acceptance testing of systems is also part of your responsibilities.
  • Group-wide collaboration: You will work closely with our parent company, DekaBank, as well as other companies within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe (Savings Banks Finance Group). Through group-wide projects, working groups, and coordination, you will actively contribute to ensuring and further developing compliance requirements across the group and promote best-practice solutions.
  • Training, audits, and reporting: You will conduct training sessions and workshops on compliance topics for specialist departments and IT. You will also support internal and external audits as well as regulatory reviews. Reporting and documenting compliance-related topics for management are also part of your responsibilities.

 

They bring with them:

  • You have successfully completed a degree with a focus on economics, business informatics, computer science or a comparable qualification.
  • Following this, you gained several years of experience as a business analyst implementing business processes in compliance projects within the financial services sector, preferably with a focus on transaction monitoring, CDD/KYC, risk classification, and embargo and PEP screening. You acquired extensive practical experience with systems such as Siron AML and Smaragd. System expertise gained through supporting system changes and migrations, including functional design, parameterization, and the design and testing of indicator models, is advantageous.
  • They have in-depth knowledge of the regulatory requirements in the banking sector and the key compliance issues (especially money laundering, terrorist financing, criminal offenses and sanctions).
  • A high affinity for IT combined with a strong awareness of risks and a good understanding of complex relationships and processes complete your profile.
