Responsibilities

In this important role on AlixPartners’ Corporate Applications Services team, you will use your excellent customer service and business analysis skills to support the Legal team with primary responsibility for the Legal applications.
The Independent Contractor – Corporate Applications Senior Business Analyst – Legal, Compliance and Risk is a contractor role located in Southfield, Michigan reporting to Business Relationship Manager - Legal. Paid relocation is not available.

  • Work with internal customers to identify specific business requirements and determine system needs to ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, accurate, and concise functional requirements.
  • Create processes, models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to be used by the Technology team in developing technology solutions.
  • Interview employees at all levels to analyze work procedures and operational methods. Document current and desired processes, ensuring all documentation is kept up-to-date and communicated to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis. Maintain system documentation and incorporate requirements changes as they arise.
  • Interpret requirements, document program objectives, and ensure project milestones are met. Create functional specifications for delivering customer solutions. Assist with the development of process flows and training documents.
  • Actively drive value in story creation, estimation, sprint planning, daily standups, demos and retrospectives.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot problems. Collaborate with IT and business units to determine root cause.
  • Learn the systems and processes to serve as the subject matter expert throughout system implementations and ongoing support.
  • Maintain meeting minutes and decision logs along the project.
  • Participate in problem solving in areas such as system design, input/output requirements, and procedural flow between departments and/or business systems.
  • Provide technical assistance in designing reporting systems, forms and related business tools.
  • Develop and manage documentation to be used by vendors, users, and testing teams to support implementation and user support.
