Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst on a contract basis (Hybrid – EU, Occasional Travel - Olten) to support IT initiatives focused on flexible energy asset management and optimisation. The role involves capturing and refining business requirements, supporting architectural alignment, and delivering improvements across core and third-party energy generation systems.

Skills:-

• Bring 10+ years of overall experience, including a minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst within the energy sector, ideally in generation or trading environments.
• Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather, prioritize, and align complex business requirements across multiple project and operational streams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document and communicate requirements in the form of functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and business processes.
• Prior experience in the optimization of flexible energy assets or energy trading platforms is a distinct advantage.
• Act as a subject matter expert for business requirements throughout the solution lifecycle, supporting design, development, testing, and implementation phases.
• Work closely with architecture teams to ensure solutions align with the target architecture and overall IT roadmap.
• Support quality assurance by reviewing test scenarios and ensuring deliverables meet business and technical expectations.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle, using relevant tools to manage scope, sprints, and delivery.
• CPRE certification and familiarity with business process modelling tools (e.g., BPMN) are highly desirable.
• Exhibit excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German, French, or Spanish is a plus.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
