Your impact and responsibilities:
Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting 18 month project contract opportunity for a driven and strategic Senior Business Analyst. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, and in a critical role within the Information Technology (IT) team, you will join the project team as the Senior Business Analyst accountable for the collation, validation and traceability of business requirements for a transformation project currently underway. This senior role will manage and lead business analysis activities, outputs on the project, and will need to steer the direction, quality and outputs to the project.

Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the end-to-end business analysis including collection, validation, and documentation of core business requirements in line with project objectives
  • Shape and refine requirements, challenging the status quo to leverage as much Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) functionality from our new solutions
  • Work closely with stakeholders to challenge legacy systems, processes, and assumptions, focusing on shaping requirements to be efficient, fit best practice & the take advantage of capability of the new systems
  • Support migration from legacy systems to modern SaaS platforms, ensuring data integrity
  • Engage with business units & vendors to ensure a clear understanding of the must-have requirements that reflect core business functions
  • Conduct internal & vendor workshops and meetings to elicit and clarify requirements, pushing for business process alignment with the new systems and eliminating outdated workflows & manual processes
  • Work with business units & vendors to shape business processes that align with new system functionalities
  • When deemed necessary, document and map current business processes and data flows
  • Assess the impact of any process changes on the organisational structure, compliance obligations and customer satisfaction
  • Develop high-quality documentation, including business requirement documents (BRD), process flows, and user stories, ensuring clarity and align
  • Ensure that business requirements and processes meet all legal, regulatory, and security standards across both the NZ and AU markets
  • Collaborate with the change management team to ensure that legacy processes are challenged
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

The successful candidate will possess advanced BA methodologies, strategically leading and driving best performance while mentoring and creating trusting relationships with all business stakeholders, vendors and project staff.
As an experienced Senior BA, you will be an analytical problem-solver, clear thinker and excellent communicator and listener. Your expertise in eliciting, documenting and prioritize business requirements will be of an exceptionally high standard. Having worked in effective teams throughout your career, you will be able to adapt quickly and efficiently, contributing to a winning team environment while sharing knowledge and working collaboratively other members of the project team.

You will also be degree qualified in IT, Business or a related field, along with relevant certifications are essential.
