About the role The role of Senior Business Analyst supports the delivery of EML’s products by providing thorough and accurate business analysis, enabling the delivery of robust solutions with a great user experience for our Australian clients. In this role you will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure that we deliver end-to-end solutions that just work. This role is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Head of Product Management for Australia. What you'll do Stakeholder engagement: engage with stakeholders to understand needs and identify solution opportunities. Business Processes: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that proposed changes support streamlined end-to-end business processes. Solution Analysis: Provide clear, business focused requirements and acceptance criteria for software development. Ensure that non-functional requirements – including regulatory, security, and operational - are addressed. Solution Implementation: Work closely with the technology team to provide the detailed business analysis they need to build great product solutions. Communication: Maintain clear lines of communication with stakeholders and development team members. Provide regular updates on progress as requested. Escalate quickly when needed. Quality Assurance: Support product acceptance of delivered solutions. Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation to support project implementation including detailed analysis, knowledge base content, and user documentation. Qualifications Analytical mindset with proven ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Strong business analysis skill set with experience delivering software solutions, use case analysis, business processes, and systems integration. Tech-savvy - understands how software systems are designed, developed, and maintained. Understands the nuances of APIs and non-functional requirements. Tenacious attention to detail and delivering business outcomes. Can see the “big picture” and work to deliver it in detail. Top-notch communicator (written, verbal) Strong understanding of issuing, payments, schemes, and a strong appreciation for regulatory and compliance requirements within the payment industry is a plus.
