About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Business Analyst with Active SC to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a remote role that will be based in London or Leeds.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the delivery of strategic technology and business transformation initiatives within a secure government environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in engaging stakeholders, capturing and prioritising requirements, defining business benefits, and supporting the implementation of emerging technologies including AI-driven solutions, API management platforms, and enterprise data management capabilities.

This position requires a proactive and commercially minded Business Analyst with strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities across multiple workstreams and programmes.
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, document, and validate requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to gather business needs and translate them into actionable deliverables.
  • Capture and prioritise requirements related to service performance, SLA measurement, operational reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Support the definition, tracking, and realisation of business benefits throughout programme delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, product teams, delivery managers, and technical specialists to ensure business requirements align with strategic objectives.
  • Produce high-quality business analysis artefacts including business requirements documents, process maps, user stories, operating models, and impact assessments.
  • Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support governance and decision-making through clear documentation and stakeholder communication.

About You

  • Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
  • Proven experience operating as a Senior Business Analyst within large-scale enterprise or government environments.
  • Experience supporting initiatives involving enterprise archiving, data retention, and backup policies.
  • Demonstrable experience in requirements capture, prioritisation, and definition of SLA reporting and dashboard requirements.
  • Experience defining, measuring, and tracking business benefits and value realisation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Experience translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced delivery environments.
  • Experience working within central government, public sector, or highly regulated organisations.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
