As a Senior Business Analyst at Gentrack, you will play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration between customer subject matter experts and our service delivery team. Your primary responsibility is to demonstrate solutions and work closely with customers to understand and align their requirements, ensuring the configured solutions meet their needs. Operating within the Velocity division and reporting to the Head of APAC Programme Delivery, you will contribute to the implementation of modern agile values and principles, acquiring in-depth product and utility industry knowledge. Your role involves facilitating various meetings, workshops, and training sessions, analyzing business requirements, mapping processes, and providing crucial input into product direction. Additionally, you will prioritize product backlogs, collaborate with technical teams to develop effective solutions, and offer leadership by training and supporting team members.

THE SPECIFICS

  • Demonstrate modern agile values and principles.
  • Acquire in-depth product and utility industry knowledge.
  • Facilitate and attend meetings such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and elicit requirements.
  • Analyze and define business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze, map, and document business processes.
  • Prioritize product backlog with the customer (product owner) to streamline delivery priorities and plan releases.
  • Work with the technical team to develop effective solutions.
  • Provide input into product direction regarding functionality.
  • Provide software training to internal and external customers.
  • Provide testing services to external customers as required.
  • Provide on-site support services.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to team members.
  • Encourage others to experiment and adopt the Agile mindset, tools, and techniques.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced business analysts.
  • Ensure accurate recording of timesheets and charging of services time.
  • Tailor solutions to meet customers’ needs.
  • Abide by the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company.
  • Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Report all incidents and hazards promptly.
  • Support initiatives run by the GSTF and demonstrate our company values by providing a clear commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
  • Contribute through identifying/proposing local sustainable practices and ideas in accordance with our Sustainability Charter.
  • Utilise our sustainability app by taking part in challenges and improving behaviours to be more sustainable.
    What we’re looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all,

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or experience as a Product Owner/Scrum Master.
  • Experience in working in Waterfall and Agile (preferably Scrum) environments.
  • Experience in a Professional Services/Consultancy environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business processes.
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate technical and business concepts.
  • Record of building strong products/project-delivered solutions and collaborating.
  • Substantial personal responsibility and autonomy.
  • Exceptional communication skills and presentation ability.
  • Experience in software development (helpful).
  • Experience in the Utilities sector (helpful).
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Passion for excellence and commitment to being the best.
  • High levels of energy, sound judgment, and determination to achieve with a sense of urgency.
  • High attention to detail.
