About the role: RFQ Opportunity 2-3 months Contract Melbourne based Hybrid Role Overview The Senior Business Analyst / Systems Analyst will provide specialist analytical and functional analysis services to support the discovery, design, and delivery of system solutions. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business needs into clearly defined, testable requirements and functional designs. The engagement will be delivered using Agile methodologies and will involve active participation across the full solution lifecycle, including requirements elicitation, process re‑engineering, system integration specification, solution validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Mandatory Requirements Applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria: Minimum 3 years of proven system solution analytical experience delivering business and functional analysis for ICT or enterprise system implementations. Demonstrated experience working on complex system solutions in structured and Agile delivery environments. Key Responsibilities Business & Functional Analysis Provide Agile business analysis and functional analysis services across multiple project phases. Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business and functional requirements using Agile techniques. Develop and maintain: User stories and acceptance criteria Functional design documentation Wireframes, screen mock-ups, and prototypes where required Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation Engage and negotiate effectively with business stakeholders, end users, product owners, and technical teams to achieve agreed outcomes. Lead and facilitate: Requirements workshops Solution design workshops Process mapping and validation sessions Act as a trusted liaison between business and delivery teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and solution intent. Process Re‑engineering Analyse and document current‑state (as‑is) and future‑state (to‑be) business processes. Develop process flows and models to support process improvement and system optimisation. Identify opportunities for process efficiency, automation, and system alignment. System Integration & Solution Design Contribute to and document system integration specifications, ensuring alignment across interfacing applications and platforms. Support solution design by ensuring business requirements are traceable through to functional and technical solutions. Solution Validation & UAT Support Support solution showcases, demonstrations, and walkthroughs with stakeholders. Assist with: User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning Test scenario and test case development Defect clarification and resolution support Ensure delivered solutions meet approved business requirements and acceptance criteria. Key Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience delivering Agile business analysis / functional analysis services. Strong expertise in requirements documentation, including user stories, wireframes, and functional specifications. Demonstrated experience leading stakeholder workshops and discussions. Strong negotiation, communication, and facilitation skills. Experience in process mapping and business process re‑engineering. Experience contributing to system integration specifications. Hands‑on experience supporting solution showcases and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Desirable Experience working in multi‑vendor or complex enterprise environments. Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban). Strong documentation and presentation skills.
